The Entrepreneurship Events I Organized During my Bachelor’s Degree

When I was 20, I was really into entrepreneurship and innovation, and I still am today. But at that age, I was just beginning to explore it, more to create a general idea about the startup world. I was so fascinated by the successful people I was reading about, listening to in conferences or meetups, or even in Youtube videos, that I wanted to share their lessons with others as well. If you have realized already, from the articles I write, I am all about sharing with the world. It is my call. I want to inspire and encourage people the same as I want to connect with them.
At that time I was a bachelor’s degree student and pretty new to university life. But I knew that I loved to get involved in activities outside my studies and so did I. I decided to organize a series of events called “The Key to Succes”, where I would invite successful entrepreneurs to share their stories with the students, in order to inspire them, to motivate them, to show them that dreams do come true if you work hard enough. I wanted my peers to be able to see the bigger picture in their life. I was part of a student club called “Innovators” where we had the freedom to do whatever we thought would benefit the students of my university at that time, Epoka University. Together with my three friends, I decided to create a series of events called “The Key to Success”.
The problem was, I didn’t know any entrepreneurs personally. However, we made a list of successful entrepreneurs, and now that I remember, we included in that list some already very successful people who would probably not even take us into consideration, but we were students and we had dreams, and that was a good start. That is a good start for everything, your dreams.
We got advised to not put too much thought into how to reach these successful people, who seemed out of reach to us in the beginning. We just had to try with the available means. If we didn’t have their phone numbers or email, then we would use LinkedIn or social media. To my surprise, it worked. It was during “The Key to Success” that I learned that the most successful people are usually the most humble ones.
